Digging Through The Crates: Monique Walker / Jeffrey White

There's been a few requests for songs that featured Monique (Williams) Walker before she recorded with Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, so after digging through the crates I found one for you all. The song is entitled, How Can I Say Thank You written by Jeffrey and Kathleenia White from Prof. Jeffrey White & The Soul Stirring Crusade Choir's 1982 release, Shelter In The Time of Storm. I'm not the biggest fan of Sis. Walker's singing, but I do like her singing on this particular song.

You got some good old gospel music why post them here and not Youtube where more people can hear them? All the songs here are on Youtube now but I see you put them here first why not put them there?

Well, I could have, but I like to write a little bit about some of the songs, on Youtube, you can't really do that. If you put a song there, sure people will listen to it, but most don't even bother to read what you've written in the video description.

Though I like to upload music that hasn't been online (because I don't see the reason of uploading the same song that's been posted more than once), sometimes others will post it too and that's fine. Next month, I plan on being more organized and working on the blog on a more regular basis, I hope you will check in every now and again. God Bless!

Hi Lilmama,

This is a beautiful song. I sometimes feel the same way. At times it's hard to express the way your heart feels. All the thanks, words, or exemplifying the attributes of Jesus aren't expression enough, at times.

Thanks for posting your site URL on youtube. I listen to this song three times. Great blog.

Blessings Lovely

Hallelujah! To God be the glory!Thank you so very much! I loved this album! Growing up in the Greater Bibleway Temple in Brooklyn,NY many gospel greats like Hezekiah Walker, Jeffrey and Kathy White got their start there. This particular song touched my heart long ago. I would love to get in on CD. Know where I can find it?Thank you

Oh my goodness:)! My sister and I are BLESSED that you were able to find this throwback. Many years ago my church had an event in Englewood, NJ and Jeffrey White along with the Soul Stirring Crusade Choir headline the evening. Although, we were young that gospel choir touched our souls til this very day. Thank you so much for putting that back on the map.

"Shelter In The Time Of Storm" I believe, is one of the greatest gospel albums I've ever experienced. I have it on vinyl, but unfortunately, it is horribly scratched. Do you know where I could possible get this album in an MP3 format or even on a CD? If anyone could help me in this respect, I would be very appreciative. Thank you and God Bless.
